Requirements for qualification:Main requirements of the programme:
– To acquire the theoretical foundations of pedagogy and psychology;
– To acquire the skill to link the theoretical conclusions with the practical work at School, at Primary school educational institutions within the different dance styles in dance groups and dance studios;
– To acquire research skills and be able to use them in the elaboration of practical works, study papers and the Bachelor paper;
– To develop skills and abilities necessary for Dance and Rhythmic Teacher as well as personal qualities and competencies.
Professional status:Gives the right to work in the profession of dance and rhythmics teacher; manage dance groups.
To further studies:Access to Master degree programmes and to Professional programmes designed for studies after award of Bachelor’s degree
Educational and professional goals:– Knowledge of Education, Psychology, Social studies, Dance’s art, as well as of other underlying art forms and skills of knowledge use in their professional activities, understanding ongoing processes in the environment of education and culture;
– Ability to organise training and education work in accordance with the objectives and tasks, acting in dance collective/group/studio;
– Ability to collect, analyze and select the information, use it and to take decisions within the limits of their competence;
– Ability to use Latvian literary language and at least one foreign language;
– Evaluate and contribute student growth and training achievements, finding opportunites for learning of value, self-expression and self-discipline;
– Ability to communicate and interact with parents, colleagues, other specialists;
– To know the motivation of Lifelong learning to develop as highly professional and comprehensive developed personality.
